The UK edition is set for June 14 and I expect the US edition by DreamWorks to be released around the same timeframe.

Preliminary cover artwork (at PLAY.com) shows this as a 2-Disc Set.

I'm just glad to see a Spielberg film on Blu. Although War of The Worlds is not my favorite,I'm hoping his other films will come out quickly now.

And why shouldn't it? Because you or others don't like it? Blu-ray as a format does not target individual-specific audiences, sorry. Thankfully, you have the choice to ignore the release and not buy it (which I will be doing as well). I'm in the boat that the more movies coming to Bluray, the better. While I'd prefer to see some of Speilberg's stronger movies make the leap before this one, I have enough patience to hold out for them. That's half the fun anyway

Exactly. I dont get the hate for this film It is a fun film, and HT audio bliss! I dont know how anyone could not enjoy this film to some degree that has any kind of sub/audio system.
