Finally, Footloose!

Good for you! Now, join us - the money spending "blu" lemmings (should that be smurfs?) - and get this format to beat that other format once and for all.

Well with all the hype about the 80GB and profile 1.1 coming out I'm going to wait and see what happens with PS3's and then IF PS3 can be profile 1.1 then I'll buy one of the 80GB as soon as I find out if they support it.

You'd be better off with a 60 gb and the emotion chip IF you care at all about playing PS2 games. And, the PS3 is and will likely ALWAYS be the most adaptable and capable blu-ray player available IMHO. The extra 20G isn't worth the extra cost which is why you're seeing them add Motorstorm in with the system.
One disc to rule them ALL. BLU.

I actually can't stand playing Playstation for the simple fact that the controllers don't feel right and I have always hated them since the PS1. So I don't have any games, nor do I plan on getting any. If I get one it will be my stand alone blu-ray player. Perhaps if Sony made a different controller then I might play games. But I'm also not a big game person. The only game I play is Halo2, and Halo3 when that comes out, its the only reason I bought an XBOX360. So buying a 60GB to play games just isn't a benefit for me. I'm sure they're great systems, but I'm going to wait until I find out for sure what the profile 1.1 and PS3 can do.

hey, congrats on your new plyaer . I'm also looking to buy that player, i mean 10 free movies how could you pass up that deal!? However, i noticed on the panasonic web site they only have firmware upgrades for the bd10 and the bd10a, which one should you download for the 10ak?

The 10A is the same as the 10AK I believe. I haven't done any updates yet.
