Over 1000 moves in and heading toward a culture victory for Persia the next move sees the sound cut out and then stop with the game frozen solid. Waiting for the patch

How is this compared to Civ Rev I really enjoyed that game? Anyone who can give some in-depth feedback would be much appreciated.

Been playing Civ ever since the first one (which was what? 16 colors?). Dear God, another Civ means my social life which was already hanging on a thread will completely go down the drain.

As for online play, I tried it once with a friend of mine with CivIII I think it was. We each brought our notebook, hooked them up with a LAN cable and spent a whole afternoon playing Civ together. It really adds an extra dimension as we could forge a solid partnership and together blow away the other nations (moreover, since we often exchanged tech research, we advanced much faster than the other civilizations). Pure awesomeness!
