As far as the Terry stuff goes, they kind of have to do something with him or some people will call them out for not doing anything with the character or saying I guess they forgot about him. On the other hand, if they don't do something with him for a couple weeks, some people will forget what was going on. The thing with the Ifreet is, have we seen it just mess with him/them before? Seemed weird that when Terry was like ok, let's do this, the thing backs off and such. I have no idea where they're going with the story, but it'll probably and hopefully make more sense later. Maybe Holly and her friends can lift break the curse. Though I guess they would have done that by now if they could. |

Someone should take a poll on how many people were hoping the smoke monster ended them right there and then. Enjoyed the Bill and Eric thread the most...not a lot else happened...lots of great lines tho...my fav was something like U have to join a hate group to learn about love. The answer to todays trivia question is Jessica Clark played Lilith.

The wedding video wasn't that bad, I was expecting it to be really long after reading some comments. I loved the scene with Jason and Sookie (of course his breakfast comment) but telling her that he doesn't blame her for their parents being killed, just like she never let him take the blame. Russell singing
Pam seems like she's softening up a little bit now that she's Tara's maker and was released from Eric, which either way, she's still my favorite character.Omen is right, if they have Terry on the show (especially for this long) they need to do something with him or else he's a background character that no one knows anything about. I'm sure a lot of people don't care but they could very well kill him off anyway. Shows tend to give more information about characters then kill them. I like Terry and Arlene, but considering they're really the only humans and can't handle all of the supernatural stuff around them they aren't needed anymore. Arlene used to be really funny but now it's more serious situations than anything. I'd rather her continue her role on The Good Wife. The fairy Claudia that was helping Sookie is Emma Greenwell, who plays Mandy on Shameless. Last edited by hardtosayx; 07-23-2012 at 10:23 PM. |

Realized from this episode that Bill and Eric this season are Lucius and Titus from HBO's Rome -- underlings who have no real reason to be witnessing the historical events of major politicians, but are. In reality (?) they'd have been killed by both sides several times now for not sharing allegiances. But because they're just the viewers through which the audience gets to see things unfold, they are being brought along.
Re Hoyt and Jessica, looks like a showdown is coming, and I expect that Hoyt has to lose...unless he's just playing along. Re Sookie, I hope she doesn't lose her gifts. Of course there couldn't have been a dozen books in the series if she had, so, I think we can be safe in the assumption she'll remain at least a mind reader. Still good character moves for her though. I *SO* almost called the return of Sheriff Dearborne! Back when I was saying the show probably couldn't keep the actor interested, I almost wrote that it would be nice to see him again. He didn't disappoint! Great writing for that character again. "I don't remember having that conversation!" |

I hope that isn't on the BluRay. Not because I want to see more skin - rather, because it looked like magic marker and was therefore distractingly badly done. Just animate some hair, or present her bare sans detail. Because whatever that was, it wasn't right. |

That was a good line, but it wasn't the classic Jason line of the night. The Classic Jason Line was "Now listen. I ain't been to med school or fairy school or nothin'. So if ya can put it in terms a laid man [sic] can understand, I'd appreciate it."

I would have liked for some of the storylines to have been concluded tonight. I hope the plan is not to keep them all going until the last episode. Yes, the show is enjoyable, but nothing is resolving.
At least on a show like 24, Jack would have little victories in nearly every episode. And then the floor would fall out from under him and he'd be in deeper, in another circumstance. Here, the circumstances are remaining the same, and there aren't any victories. Hoyt's story came closest to actually moving forward. It moved a bit. And one could say that Lafayette's story moved forward but it turned out to be an irrelevant side-trip anyway, so, that it resolved doesn't matter. I don't know. At this point I am at a loss to know what is wrong with True Blood. There's something fundamentally wrong with the approach. Last edited by willbfree; 07-30-2012 at 06:08 AM. |

...I do like the Faerie Moulin Rouge presence though, and I hope it remains a part of the town.

The Fairies are starting to get on my nerves. The one keeps saying "Are you sure you're ready?" You're not ready." "We shouldn't be doing this." He's being annoyingly vague. At this point I wish we had someone like James Ford to come along and slap the shit out of him until he tells us just what the **** is going on on their Fairy island.

Josh Holloway would be a tremendous addition to the cast, but I think he's probably hoping for a movie career post-lost.
Those faeries sure say F a lot, don't they? There's nothing going on in their outpost other than what they say - they escaped Queen Maub's realm and parked their Moulin Rouge in the field (or adjacent to our realm) and are using it as a safe house for everyone with faerie blood who they think are going to get attacked when the vampires lead a war against the humans. The guy faerie may be lying that they do not know who the vampire Mollo or Rollo or Lollo, or as his friends call him, Big Floaty Head (Really Big), is. He seems to follow the Ben Kenobi style of only saying partial truths to Luke (Sookie). Last edited by willbfree; 07-30-2012 at 07:43 AM. |

I really appreciated the use of Elliott Smiths " Somebody that I used to know" last night during the closing. I feared it was gonna be that awful awful awful Gotye song when I saw the title but they surprised me and played a great song by my favorite artist.
Good episode too. I dont think season 5 is as strong as seasons 3 and 4 were so far but it does seem it is ramping up to a hopefully great and epic last 4 episodes . |

I just rewatched last week's episode and I get what Bill is doing.
Bill is going along with the Authority, and even making a star of himself via his suggestions, with the intent to become the head of the Authority after the rest of the Authority members are overthrown. Bill will do a conversion back to mainstreamer, and become the, um, Guardian or whatever the name of the lead person in charge is called. Bill has been shown this season and last, mainly via flashbacks, as being an opportunist politician. So imo, that is what he is doing. |
