I blind bought Pineapple express and really liked it, specialy James franco, his "thoughts" are hilarious. Too bad the M.I.A. song isnt in the movie (trailer's song)

Both are great. You should buy them both. Stranger Than Fiction is the second best Will Ferrell movie, after Elf of course.

Totally agree. Although, Elf & STF are the only Will Ferrell movies I can handle.

Haven't watched since it came out in the movies but didn't they at least play it at the end? Now that this post is up I think I'm going to watch it soon haha

Stranger Than Fiction is a great movie. Pineapple Express is just okay; I regret buying it. It is more of a rental than ownership.

Default Pineapple Express on PS3?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section...feel free to move it if it is!

Anyways, I bought Pineapple Express yesterday and my 80gb PS3 wouldn't load it...it just kept repeating these white "smoke puffs" that I assume lead into the main menu.

This is the only Blu-ray I've ever had a problem with on my PS3. The PS3 has the latest versions of software, etc. It's in like-new condition.

I traded in the disc at Best Buy for another one thinking that would fix it, but I have the same problem. All of my other Blu-rays still play fine. Suggestions? Anyone have something similar happen?

Try deleting the data for the disc from the hard drive and trying again.

Hmmm, that's strange. I rented it last year, and it played perfectly on my PS3 (40 gb).

So get this... I get the first copy that doesn't work from Best Buy in Geneva, IL and it doesn't work. I get the second copy from Best Buy in North Aurora, IL and it doesn't work. I get pissed off and take it back to the Geneva, IL location where they give me a bunch of crap about returning the movie twice. They finally grab another copy off of the shelf and put it in some crazy-expensive Blu-ray player to "prove me wrong," but instead the third copy froze their player and it wouldn't eject the disc. Haha! I finally left with Forest Gump instead!

Default Pineapple Express doesn't work anymore....who do I contact?

My PS3 currently continuously tries to load Pineapple Express whenever I insert the BD disk. The backside looks pretty darn good to me....so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I tried it in my dad's PS3, and it's the same thing.

Looks like it's time to find a replacement, but who do I contact from the film company about this?

Congrats CZAR. You just made my ignore list.

As for the question at hand, here's a link to support \numbers and online contact for stores and studio's. You should be able to call or email the studio and get a replacement disc.

You may want to contact Sony Pictures (consumer@SPHECustomerSupport.sony.com)

Pineapple Express is owned by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures owns Columbia Pictures. Sony is pretty good about taking care of the customers. Give a go... send an email, see what happens.

BTW, have you updated your firmware on your blu ray player lately? Try updating the firmware before contacting Sony Pictures. That might resolve your problem. Good luck.

Well, I disabled my internet connection, and it seems to work.

What's up with BDlive? Sucks!

Btw- Pineapple Express is one of the better smoking movies out there IMO. Great movie IMO.

Try to delete the Pineapple Express data from the BD Data Utility folder under your PS3's video section if there is any there. That has been the fix for some other movies with the same problem.
