I am interested, but I am gonna probably wait a few weeks just cause I have a feeling it is one of those 29 Fox releases and jsut wasnt announced yet. We will see....God i cant wait

I'm interested. And the news to me that Japanese Blu-Rays will work in my PS3 makes me extremely excited. I can't imagine they'll skimp out on Blu-Ray in America, even though the film was poorly marketed here and made next to nothing, but in case they do, it's nice knowing I can import the Japanese disc.

Man that's cool.

I hope they announce this title soon. There are not many fox titles remaining for release this year.

If its Fox its going to be $40 anyway. For the sake of say $10 you could get it on import no problem. Seems some of you are import shy!

It will obviously get released on BR, its just still to close to the theatrical release date to announce it yet. On this occasion USA = Last.

The whole time I saw "Sunshine" I thought people were talking about Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I'm dumb.

From the replies I'm buying this movie that I've never heard of.

It would stil come out this year...some hopefully that blu-ray release is coming.

Because after discount it'll be $25 or so here, while buying the EXACT SAME DISC (literallly) from Japan will run you $45+$10 shipping

I have dozens of legit (as in non-bootleg) import DVDs, LDs and VHS tapes, but I wouldn't bother. The movie is a no-brainer for near-simultaneous US release

Despite the fact that I was sitting literally 5 feet from the screen, I still loved this movie when I got a chance to sneak peek it a month ago. If this one came out in the US I'd snatch it up right away.

I might even pick up the Japanese version if I could be 100% certain it worked.

It will work on any BR player bought in Japan or North America (including Canada).

It will not work in Europe I know that.

Blu-ray movies are region A B C

Region A - America/Japan
Region B - Europe/Africa
Cant remember what C is.

If your PS3 was bought in America it is a region A Blu-ray player and YES, it will play ALL Japanese Blu-ray movies.

It will not play Japanese DVD's, but you dont care about that.

I am sure they will release it on BD. They haven't announced it on DVD yet, have they? Since they are now saying day and date for everything, that should be when I would expect it. Probably before Christmas, I would guess.

Fox said 29 titles by the end of the year, of which there are 5 or 6 still unrevealed.

You can bet Sunshine and Simpsons are 2 of them

none of these are shockers. It's simply slots for new releases that haven't had the home video dates annnounced yet.

Sunshine is one of the best sci-fi movie I've seen for years..

Since it will be released in Japan this Sept. for BR could it be possible for the European release around christmas?
