Default Superbad private screening review.

Ok, just got back from the private screening of Superbad at my local theater. To catch you up they do random selections of people for these screening and I got lucky.

Secondly I suck at reviews so dont judge too harshly.

This is going to be a huge comedy Blu ray release. Its literally filled with nonstop laughter minus a few scenes that dont last very long at that. The humor at times can be childish but theres some good think about it humor thrown in as well. The story is pretty simplistic but it takes you back to your highschool drinking/get with the girl days, good times. Granted you may feel like its a been there done that type movie, but it has its own unique charm that you shouldnt pass up. I can't really compare it to Knocked Up or 40 year old virgin, but I will say its the funniest movie I've seen thus far this year.

All in all I would give it a 9/10, one of the few comedies that I didnt walk away from dissapointed this year.

I was lucky enough to see this movie a couple weeks ago. It is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I urge everyone to go see it. I can't wait to see the unrated 'exclusive' blu-ray later this year.

I just watched the R rated trailer from PSN . . . freakin' hilarious, I can't wait to see this.

I'm really pumped for this movie - firstly, Jonah Hill and Michael Cera are two of the most talanted young comedy actors in the game - and neither has really been given a chance to carry a movie yet (Cera is only like, 18 or something, his delivery is absolutely amazing for someone his age).

The writing team is obviously top notch as well.

Thanx for the review. I'll definitely check it out on Friday. Friday night: see Superbad, drink pisto, invite girls over. Best Friday night ever!

I could have seen this twice, for free, but couldn't make it. I'll just have to pay like everyone else.

Cera is awesome. How can a movie with George-Michael fail? For the uninformed, Cera played Jason Bateman's son George-Michael Bluth in the comedy series 'Arrested Development' which got about 10% of the market that it deserved. One of the great underappreciated series ever.

IMO the best sit-com EVER on TV, followed closely by Seinfeld.

All 3 seasons on DVD for me, have watched them all at least 3 times

To those who have already seen Superbad: Is this funnier than Knocked Up?

I can't wait to see it this Friday. This will be an excellent exclusive for Blu-ray if it is as funny as it looks (not to mention the comments in this thread).

I got the chance to see this about a month ago. SuperBad is without question funnier then Knocked Up. Knocked up was great dont get me wrong but Super Bad is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Same, mind you, I've watched them far more than just 3 times - and I still find new jokes.

I reckon there's a correlation between people who can afford/appreciate blu-ray and the intelligence required to enjoy a show like AD, for the record. Two thumbs up.

Also must agree with you guys. Arrested Development was one of the most underrated shows of all time. Looking very forward to seeing George Michael in this movie role.
