Default Pulp Fiction? 3/16/2010 on Amazon... <- Import

Did anyone happen to notice that Pulp Fiction has a release date of 3/16/2010 on Amazon?! The pre-order price seems to suggest it may be an import, but that is pure speculation. Any thoughts? Check out the link below.

Pulp Fiction (Blu-Ray) 3/16/2010: $51.99

Thats weird. No clue.
Because Calamari Marionette Ph.D sounded pompous, that's why.

Indeed. Very strange. I wish Amazon had more information up. Seems odd especially with the current price.

You'd hope so, but I doubt it.

CD Universe uses the word " import " !
This is the reason why the price is so high. It is an Import. I wonder if this studio is releasing an Import Region A disc because they are aware there will be no US release slated for anytime soon, or at least none in 2010? Hmmm.

It's definitely an import. Amazon is trying to make a few bucks on uninformed people.

There's a thread for it in the Asia section of the forum. Someone said it was the equivalent of the French Region B locked release from TF-1. I have the French release myself and if the Hong Kong release is based off of it, then I would say it's pretty damn good. DDDhouse was selling it for around $20 - $24 USD.

If it was that soon most sites would have gotten news to it. It's a big release.

Amazon also lied about Punch Drunk Love coming out in September.

I heard some of the International releases had quite a bit of DNR applied to them. The French one is better than the others, right? The Hong Kong one sounds like the way to go right now if it does have the same transfer as the French release. The French release has forced French subtitles if I remember right, whereas it appears the Hong Kong release has the option of English or Chinese subtitles. That's a much better situation IMHO. I'm not gonna shell out $52 for it from Amazon, but it appears to be selling for $25-30 on other sites.

Yeah, the subtitles are forced on the French release. But that doesn't bother me since I am mulitlingual with French and German.

Thanks to the mod who changed the title of this thread to 'Import.' I would hate to have gotten anyone's hopes up, I assumed it was an import based on cost, and should have added that to the title.

I have the Scandanavian release which plays in Region A( my OPPO, LG BH200 and Panny BD30) and B players. It has lossless audio and the PQ is fantastic. I am selling it now for $24 in my thread, or will take a Criterion I need in trade if anyone is interested PM me.
