The 1997 horror flick Uncle Sam hits Blu on June 29th. I remember when i was a kid me and my friends rented this and a couple of other horror movies for a all night marathon.....good times. I am really happy Blue Underground is releasing this and i will buy it day one.

I saw this back when it came out also and from what I remember I didnt care for it much. Kinda low budget horror film but not a very good one. Maybe when it comes out I will rent it and watch it again. Got Em!!

I have the Blue Underground DVD version of this flick so I'll definitely be upgrading to the BRD version - fo-show. This is another x-tra cheesy horror film that is super fun to watch and laugh through. Props to Blue Underground!

I saw "Jack Frost" about six months before I saw this one. It was the one with Shannon Elizabeth and a killer snowman, not the Michael Keaton one released about the same time. I laughed so hard my lungs hurt. So this movie looked similar (lenticular cover, looked terrible), but I couldn't get a handle on the angle of the movie. Were we supposed to root for zombie Uncle Sam as he killed the non-patriotic teens? Or were we supposed to feel sorry for the victims as they vandalized graves, lit flags on fire and did a bunch of symbolically unpatriotic acts before they were gutted? The movie didn't paint either side as really sympathetic. I'm probably thinking wayyy too much about it. The real question is: When is Jack Frost going to come out on Blu?

The cover-art for those movies were also a riot...Wasn't there one where he goes to the Caribbean or something like that
I just remember seeing one of the dvd covers and he had a 'Lei' around his neck...absolutely hilarious!

Yeah i vaguely remember the 2nd but he was killing in a resort of some sort. It was funny but the first is way better. And i agree the covers are great.

I agree lol
...and to quote member 'Jaguar007' as he hilariously stated on the 'Flash Gordon and Darkman' forum:"Anything would be better with Bruce Campbell. Heck, I might even own Titanic if Bruce Campbell were in it to save the sinking ship from the Sea Zombies" |
