Why is Monsters Inc. priced so high compared to other Pixar?? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone have any idea why Monsters Inc. is still so expensive. Compared to all the other Pixar releases, i.e Bugs Life, Up, Wall-e, Toy Story, Cars? Really want it but wont pull the trigger at close to $30 bucks.

From here on in try to get all Disney Blu's on the day of release or the week of I only spent 12 for Up and Monsters INc with the crazy deals they had.

Totally agree with you here...I try to pick Disney title the first week of release, thats when you get the best deals out there.

I definatly should have. Just seems like you can get all the other Pixar for under $20 including new releases.

It is weird. It has always been pricey. Even when it was bundled with UP it was more than UP.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's also the only Pixar film which standard release has been as a 4-disc set: feature BD, bonus materials BD, DVD, digital copy disc.

Monster cables are priced way too high...maybe they took a page from their marketing book?

Disney movies are like gold in my area. Unless it is a new release, they are all $29.99 and up.

Shows up as $27.99 for Monsters Inc.

Not as high as Wall*E though. $30! I used to be willing to pay that much, but not anymore.

Luckily i was able to get rat/wall for 12.99 at mckays (single disc used but its the movie and thats all i care about)

but i cannot for the life of me find monsters inc for a good price.. i refuse to pay 30 for it

I saw Monsters Inc "sale" priced at our local FYE for $44.99! Glad I was able to get it cheap when Up was released.

A Bug's Life was the same way. It never had a good price the week of either. Monster's Inc will come down in price initially. Like posted earlier Disney releases typically have great prices the week of release since they started putting out coupons. it seems weird thinking my MI cost me less than a buck.

The region free UK version is around $19 delivered to the US if you missed out on the earlier deals.

It's also available at DVD.co.uk and they have a buy one get one deal on Disney stuff. Monsters Inc. and something else for $31 delivered. I just ordered Toy Story 1 and 2.

I got a good deal on Monsters Inc to when it was first released. I think I paid $24 for Up and Monsters Inc, both 4 disc (up might be 3).

Yeah, with the lower first week price and the Disney coupon, buying on release week is the best option.

Maybe because it is easily the best PIXAR film yet made?

It's worth every penny that they decide to put on the price tag.
