United Kingdom The Wolfman Blu-ray | June 14, 2010

Great News horror fans, Wolfman hits the UK on June 14,2010 in both Amaray casing and a Special Edition SteelBook

The Wolfman Blu-ray

The Wolfman Blu-ray SteelBook

Quote:
Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father, Talbot sets out to find his brother... and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.

I am looking forward to viewing this, I hope it's good. The trailer was certainly cool. I'd love to own more werewolf films but I only rate a handful of 'em.

btw I was surprised to note that around 100 million dollars was spent on the film. That seemed like quite a large budget.

I've pre-ordered the steelbook too, liking the artwork alot.

I think this extended cut could make the film even better as i've read that key plot parts where cut for the theatrical release.

Question

I saw this news: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=4371

But why is that so special if it would be shorter than the European releases?

Also, would the UK-version have the Theatrical version too or simply the one version of 128 minutes?

And, would the UK-version have the same content, as in extras, as the US-version
or is that's what's special about the US-version? That it might have more of that I mean...

It's by Universal. 99.9% Region Free.
And looking at the subtitle options, lots of Region A countries are included. So yes, region free.

Nice - enjoy!

I haven't seen it yet and don't plan to. My sister loves it, but then again she's madly obsessed with Anthony Hopkins...

I saw it at the cinema. I thought it was pretty good, especially the perfromance from Anthony Hopkins. I hope it's a good transfer.

I have the Region B Australian version which came out on Monday and thought I'd give UK buyers a heads-up seeing that it's likely to be the same master...my copy has the same problem reported by some folks with the Region A edition, which has an audio dropout around the 1:29:00-1:30:00 mark. Some people are also getting a glitch with the video as well. This is on the unrated edition, it doesn't occur on the same scene in the theatrical version. I have a Sony BDP-S560.
