That's one thing that always have annoyed me about the Dollars films, on DVD they pulled the same crap, release TGTBTU, FAFDM first in 1998, a year later they released AFOD and the Trilogy. Then you had the SE of TGTBTU in 2004, and in 2007 the The Segio Leone Anthology 8 disc set wth all 3 Dollar's films and Duck You Sucker added as well. Just do it right the first time, Fox/MGM.

This has been confirmed by Bill Hunt at thedigitalbits.com

And I've decided to save the best for first. No, this isn't an April Fool's thing... Fox and MGM are officially releasing The Man with No Name Trilogy on Blu-ray Disc here in the States on 6/1 (SRP $69.99). The 3-disc set will include A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and the previously released The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Most (if not all) the extras from the previous DVD editions will likely be included.

I already own "The Good the Bad and the Ugly." I will probably wait and purchase the other two individually. Seventy dollars is a lot for 3 movies.

Cool news. I already own TGTBTU, but if I can get the set for $45-50, I'm in.

Man, I hate MGM.

I'd really wish they'd release these films separately. I already have the Italian Fistful of Dollars and both the US and Italian The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. All I need is For a Few Dollars More, and I just now it will suck in comparison to the Italian versions of the other two entries.

I'd be interested in seeing how Fistful stacks up against the already released Italian version (Per un Pugno di Dollari,) I wonder if it'll be a different transfer.

I have the Italian import version, and its PQ is friggin' fantastic, it really is.

For those who don't know, can you explain (in simple terms) the difference between the Italian and US versions? I googled it but couldn't find any decent information.

I don't know about the others, but the Italian version of Fistful has Italian mono, an English mono track, and an Italian 5.1 PCM track (also has English subs as an option).... so I imagine the major difference between the US version and that will be the Eng. sountrack. That is, if they don't screw up the transfer...

More info and screens here, if you want to have a look at it.

Ok, so it's just a quality difference and not an overall difference in film content. Right?

My question was if the difference is content related, and the answers appears to be a no.
