I was about to buy Afro Samurai Resurrection Director's Cut
After finding out about this I mite just wait to get this.

More then likely yes. I had the Dolby Digital 5.1 disc but just contacted Funimation through email, they gave me their fax number, and I faxed them a copy of my original receipt from Best Buy, and in a few days I got myself a TrueHD copy. Resurrection was advertised to be TrueHD just like the season 1 set but a lot of copies on 1st shipment had only Dolby Digital.

Is that for real? I never bought Resurrection because of the lack of Lossless audio. I think you are saying an April's fool joke.

Why would this be a joke? Funimation acknowledged the problem when it was first released and had a replacement program in place.

I saw this thread before I was going to buy my Resurrection copy and I didn't,I didn't feel like going threw buying it and the copy mite have sounds issues and I have to fax Funimation.So hopefully with this Release all audio problems are fixed and good to go.Ill upgrade to this Murder Sessions from my Afro Samurai Season one.

Should be or at least close enough but it does have the same extras. The only difference I can think of is well a more guarantee that you will get Dolby TrueHD on Resurrection instead of gambling of getting one of the Dolby Digital mistake copies(or getting 1 of the non-mistake copies) and then having to fax Funimation to get yourself a TrueHD disc.

thinking of buying this. i have the collection on DVD. I personally like the dvd packaging so i'm not sure if i'll get this even thow the bluray looks pretty amazing.

Thanks. I was going to get S1 on Amazon for $11.99 and wait for the second one to go down. I may wait and see what price the Complete Murder Sessions will be when it comes out.

I've only got the first one on DVD, so this is the perfect release to upgrade on. Still haven't seen Resurrection yet either.

So I just got this in the mail a few days ago from Amazon. The only problem is that mine doesn't say LIMITED EDITION DIRECTOR'S CUT in red at the bottom. The case is also the size of a regular Blu-ray, which is cool, but for some reason that graphics above made it look more like a box.

Just making sure I picked up the director's cut and not the edited Spike versions. Anyone else pick this up? Any way to know that mine are the director's cuts? I'm guessing maybe they just dropped the LE subtitle?

It's the director's cut. The Spike TV edited version will most likely will never hit Blu-ray.

More violent and also some interesting scenes in Resurrection. The run time is longer. Also should hear lots of strong uncensored swearing.
