ive never even seen Last Boy Scout but Last Man Standing is one of my favorite guilty pleasure action movies and i never thought it would get a blu-ray release so i will be all over this. this made my day.

i love last boy scout, however i hate these double features.. so i will wait for this to come out again by itself,

im waiting on this, ace ventura, and green mile to come in standard blucase.. I feel WB is really losing money on doing stuff like this, im sure im not the only one that has these pet peeves

This sounds like one of the few Double Feature disks I would actually buy, where I don't already own the individual movies!

whats the deal with these anyway? flippers or are they both on one side with no features or something?

As long as it's not on those stupid flipper discs I'm all for it. Its WB so its will be two movies on one 50gb bluray disc.

It's not the same thing because both movies are on the same side of the disc.

Both films are on one single sided BD50. WB normally releases lower-profile catalog titles on a BD25 anyway, so no big deal.

Edit: Just noticed there was already a thread on this. But I can't see a way to delete this. Mods, feel free to delete it for me!

One of my top wants, not only because it's an awesome flick, but because the DVD transfer was SO horrible. Comes out 7/6/10

The bad news: It's only coming out on a "double feature" Blu paired with the horrific Last Man Standing. Ugh.... Plus I'm guessing that since it's getting such a throwaway release, it will be void of any meaningful extras. Let's at least hope they don't just use the same dvd transfer.

I'd buy The Last Boy Scout for a relatively cheap price, but I sure as hell don't want Last Man Standing.

...but only coming out on a "double feature" Blu paired with the horrific Last Man Standing. Ugh.... Plus I'm guessing that since it's getting such a throwaway release, it will be void of any meaningful extras. Let's at least hope they don't just use the same dvd transfer.

I'm less than thrilled that these movies are first being released as one of these "double feature" releases, but I will be buying these the second that they become available.

'Boyscout is one of my 2 favorite Tony Scott films, second only to True Romance, and every release that I have ever owned ( VHS and ofcourse, DVD) look and sound like shit. So I really dont think the PQ and AQ have anywhere to go but up.

As for Last Man Standing, I have watched my DVD of that movie at least 4 times since New Years and can never seem to get tired of watching it. It is an absolute guilty pleasure for me. I'll admit that it's not a great movie, but I'm a sucker for the gunplay in that flick and I'm hoping that this release will have the kind of AQ that will have my walls shaking with every bullet that Bruce's guns fires. Obviuosly, i'm hoping the PQ improves also, but, like Boyscout, with the releases I own, I really dont think it can get much worse.

So basically, me buyin this is pretty much a given and will have to do until they're get released separately.( hopefully with extras that this release will surely, lack )

Not a fan of the double features, either. But I love The Last Boyscout too much to pass on it.
