Default Need Help - How to record?

Now im not the most technolgicly sophisticated person, and im also fairly new to blu ray and this site. Now I have a Sony BDP-N460 and a Ps3, i also have a DVR HD reciever from Directv. Now my question is, if I purchase recordable blu rays, is there anyway i can record some shows to a blu ray using my blu ray player? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You will need to purchase a separate Blu Ray burner, but good luck recording some of the programming in HD because of HDCP complience with HDMI.

ok, so is there anyway of using the blu ray player (or even dvd player) to record on a dvd programming thats not in HD?

You CAN'T record on a blu-ray PLAYER. You need a blu-ray BURNER. And they ain't cheap.
