Default Bourne Trilogy: Box Set Vs Newer Flippers

I am seriously thinking about buying myself a father's day present. From those who have seen both, differences? Thanks.

I got the UK set. Only $30 shipped from Amazon UK. I love it! Screw the flippers or the US box set!

no difference whatsoever besides
1. There being no box to hold all 3 cases
2. There being a dvd on the other side of the disc

basically it's a bunch of people been whining over no disc art and the possibility that someday maybe there possibly could be a problem with flipper discs (mostly just whining about disc art really though)

OK, I didn't know if it was a rescan or what. The review on the box set talked about a ho hum transfer, some flat contrast, etc.. Anyway, it looked like the extras were different or possibly mixed up among the 3 different flippers. I don't care about flippers, wish every movie came with them, I have a regular DVD in my van. I have the second Bourne on in HD-DVD and its a flipper. But my HD-DVD Player is laptop and its a pain. Its the thing I liked about HD-DVD, many were flippers, because at the time, not all my TVs were HD. Label art? ROFLOL

The transfers are the same. 1 looks mediocre but 2 and 3 are fine.

Importing is the best option financially, but if you can't/don't want to import for some reason, just go with the flippers. It's cheaper and there's no difference in disc content, except for the fact that the flippers obviously include a DVD copy as well.

UK set is the popular choice..comes out to around $30 like Mrht mentioned. I personally like the us boxset but that's me. I wouldn't go near the flippers even if the new releases come with a slipcover.

This reminds me of the slip cover thread. What next? The "I like the Studio Icon On The Top vs The Bottom On The Label" debate.

There is a notice that the Volcano may delay International orders. It was 28 and change with shipping. I think I found a new store, lol.

No. The movies are Region-Free and the extras are SD NTSC. So EVERYTHING will work on your US player.

All I need is "The Bourne Supremacy" and I will have the trilogy at a cheaper price, than what the box set is being sold for. I haven't had any problems playing the flip discs. I think they are asking too much (U.S.) for the set.

Edited to add: If I didn't already have 2 out of the 3 movies, I would have ordered from Amazon UK.
