Batman: Under the Red Hood Blu-ray Review

Well, I searched but did not see a thread for this Blu-ray movie coming July 27. Voices include Bruce Greenwood, Neil Patrick Harris, Jason Issaacs and Jensen Ackles.

Here is the first trailer for the animation movie.

I'm really excited to get a REAL Bat-movie under the new DC Animated titles. I'm sorry, but whatever that tie-in Gotham Knight thing was it wasn't a real Batman movie. It's the only Bat-related title I have no desire to own, and heck I own Catwoman.

There is a nice preview of this on the new Crisis Blu - a large part of the story is taken from "A Death In The Family", which is one of my favorite Bat-tales.

Looks pretty good. I'm definitely interested and that cover art looks awesome!

I'm not too happy that Kevin Conroy isn't doing the Batman voice since he is the best but Bruce Greenwood sounds like he will do a good job. Also, John Di Maggio is doing the Joker voice. From the trailer, he might do a good job, he is very talented but once again, Mark Hamill is the best IMO.

Looking forward to this.

Don't expect a lossless track. It appears Warner has given up on lossless for their animated titles.

I do not like the voice talent they selected for this movie. The preview on the Crisis BD was not that great to me.

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are working on the Arkham Asylum 2 video game. Conroy, Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin reprised their roles from Batman: The Animated Series for the original Arkham Asylum and the upcoming sequel.

Kevin Conroy even let it slip that AA2 will feature Two-Face at a recent comic convention. Conroy fans will also want to check out The Venture Brothers where he played Captain Sunshine, a parody of both Batman and Superman, in Handsome Ransom.

It's too bad I can't play video games (my dexterity is awful) as I might have enjoyed that one. I did notice that the voice talents were largely from TAS and they are undoubtedly the best.

I think the actors could find time to do both the game and movie. I am looking forward to AA2.
I didn't even know that was Kevin Conroy as Captain Sunshine! Why didn't I recognize that

With my hopes of a great Jonah Hex movie kinda dashed, I've got high hopes for the Jonah Hex short on this disc.

It never is, LOL. These are always placed too high, IMHO. So I Netflix them when they come out, and then buy them as the prices get lowered (thanks to Blu-ray.com's price tracker I always know!). I think most of them I have gotten for $12.99 eventually.

Arkham Asylum was my favorite game from last year. I have played it through several times, something I don't do too much anymore with so many gaming choices.

Still, I dislike the voicing of Bats in this one.

HOWERVER, NPH is in this, so it can't be bad, I believe he's doing Nightwing/Dick Grayson.
