Hey guys, I am having a little problem here. I am trying to move images from my computer to my ps3. I transfered them to my usb flash drive. When I insert my usb drive into my ps3 it shows up as a usb drive but says there are no images on it when I know there is. The images are in jpeg format. I have downloaded one of the same images using the PS3 browser and I can view that one fine. In the past I have tried gif and bitmap formats as well.
I have also tried to download pictures from my Pentax and my Kodak digital cameras to my PS3 when I plug them in the system says "unknown usb device attached" but it won't give me the option to look at the pictures. I figure this may be becuase my cameras are not Sony, but I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the pressing triangle button on the Icon for the USB drive in the picture icon? You should be able to select "see all" this should allow you to see what is on the USB and copy them. If you’re still having trouble, you could always burn the pictures to a DVD and transfer them that way.
Good luck and have fun.

Another thing you can do is create a directory on the USB drive called "PICTURES" and put all your files into this directory.
I found this out by copying a picture FROM the PS3 to the memory card, putting it into my PC, and checking out where the PS3 put it. If you want to play video you convert with the red kawa software, you need to create a folder called "VIDEO" in the root directory, and use that new directory to store your video files
