I sure as hell hope you mean the Anil Kapoor 'Pukar' and not the absolutely crap Amitabh Bachchan 'Pukar'.
Madhuri Dixit, Namrata Shirodkar, Excellent locales and A.R. Rehman's fantastic music. Yes sir, I sure would love to have 'Pukar' on Blu-ray with lossless audio. |

Yeah, well in all likelihood we'll never get these but hopefully someone will see this and get a clue.
I find it bewildering that Yash Raj Films is basically the only distributor adding in special features to their films (and even their method could use much improvement), contrarily to other distributors who just deliver barebones discs even when the actual DVDs have special features: -Don DVD had special features, blu-ray none -Ghajini DVD had special features, blu-ray none -Kambakkht Ishq DVD had special features, blu-ray none -Sivaji DVD had special features, blu-ray none Eros used to put in special features, but Kambakkht Ishq doesn't have any. Now that Indian ditributors are getting up to speed on presenting their film itself properly on blu-ray, we can get hopefully get them to treat their special features properly as well, and then we can move on to packaging. |

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. DON is a huge disappointment in that area since they had the Special Edition DVD. And Ghajini BD had no extras? That's terrible... the DVD had a second disc!
I wonder why they're doing this... even if they shove the 480i videos on there, I'm okay with that. I'd prefer HD extras, and I wonder why it hasn't caught on yet. |

Not that I disagree with you or that special features are not important. But, I think that there are other more important things that still need to be adressed regarding the basic audio/video quality of the Bollywood blu-rays. Ofcourse, the logo 'watermarks', forced and scrolling advertisements issues are still not totally done away with and thus need to be dealt with first, before we change focus to the special features and packaging. Once we can get, atleast all the major distributors upto a certain minimum level of quality and BD specifications, we definately do need to then turn our focus on putting pressure for special features and packaging.
