Talking Vizio Sound bar VSB200 @ walmart for $89

went to walmart the other day & got a vizio sound bar for $89. The original price was $149. The employee said they are discontinuing this sound bar, so it went down on price. If you go to their website it sales for $128 but in store its $89. It has a great sound!
Destroy all that is not Blu

Walmart clearance is YMMV and markdowns will vary by location.

some people don't have the space or even the desire for 5 speakers and a sub. a lot of these soundbars "mimic" surround sound by bouncing sound off walls in all directions.

Ps- I had been thinking about getting this for my parent's bedroom TV. Does this one come with a sub?

Or like me, I do not have room for speakers and reciever in my bedroom. And really don't want any. But the speakers on my Samsung LN37B550 are horrible, which I knew before I bought it. Cranked up to 80% of volume and it's still at a very low output.

I bought a Zvox 525 from Zvox on Ebay for about $200.00 and it sounds pretty good. That's about $150.00 less than a brand new one bought from their site. It was a returned item, full warranty and not a scratch on it. It's not a soundbar, but it's a somewhat slim box with a built in sub and your tv can sit on top of it.

Just Google Zvox or search for Zvox on Ebay. By the way, Zvox on Ebay has their own store, buy it from them for a full warranty and free shipping

The Vizio soundbar does not come with a sub, but has the added benefit of being able to accept one should you want to add one yourself. I have the Walmart special Vizo soundbar myself, and I expected it to be terrible when in actuality I've been exceptionally pleased with it. Not having the space for a 7.1 or even 5.1 system in my main room, the soundbar is perfect size-wise and the AQ is decent. Actually quite a bit better than the Creative 2.1 system I had wired previously.

I also picked up the Vizio Soundbar Sunday.
And at the Walmart it was purchased at they do have a kit,That includes the same sound bar and a small Vizio Subwoofer.

I happen to have a couple of extra PSW10's here.So I saved almost $140.00 by using my own sub.As the list price on Wal Marts site(shown below)Was a nice bit lower at the store.

But the sub, while being better then none,is not worth the difference inbetween the price of the two kits.
Buy the Soundbar Only. Then go to NewEgg.com and normally they have the Polk Audio PSW10 for $99.00 to $149.00 and Free Shipping.

But I was surprised to see a Vizio set with a sub,it was the first I had seen or heard of it.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-Soun...210WS/10910025

Overall combined with the $79.00 Magnavox Blu-Ray Player, the Vizio Sound Bar and Polk PSW10 Sub(with a 51inch Toshiba Projection HDTV)

Provided a level of performance that I did not expect in any way.
It wasn't quite like a True Home Theater.

But for a small investment, with no receiver, few wires, and no speakers being placed in several areas. It does the job.

Or if you have a Wife/GirlFriend/Mother who say no to turning their LivingRoom into a den of wires, speakers, and components.

This is one alternative they just may say yes to.

I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. Once I saw the price here, it was too irresistable to give it a try.

I've already got a true theater setup, plus a really nice 2.1 setup in the family room.
In the living room, we've had the old panel display on a table, but I wanted to get rid of that and hang the tv on the wall. it really opens up the room.

So, unless I do a complicated built-in scenario for an amp or avr, I'd be stuck with the crappy tv speakers.
Then, along comes the soundbar. This is a great solution that I will put underneath or overtop of the tv, and the sound will be much better than the built-in tv speakers.

Thanks to the OP for posting the deal.

I have had a chance to use the Vizio Soundbar(connected to a Polk Audio PSW10 sub I had).
I watched Ice Age 3 on Blu-Ray.

I must say I was impressed with the Soundbar(That was $99.00)at my Wal Mart.Much better then the TV Speakers.

While not a seperate receiver and speakers. Its far more then any $100 set-up I can think of.
Good Detail and good Volume without distortion.

For the price I am extremely pleased.

Picked up the last one they had at my walmart for 95$... impressed so far. Works well in my apartment, as it's just not feasible to have a full setup.
