Probably the most important thing to me about this upcoming release (besides the obvious boost in quality) is knowing what further changes will be made or unmade. I guarantee that this announcement won't make a single reference to any of the changes Lucas will make.

A poster on originaltrilogy.com made this interesting comparison-
the bottom pic below being from the film itself:

It is either an alternate take or a rehearsal.

Oh well that gives us something to speculate over the next few days!

Not terribly exciting but local Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi has a small marketing image which appears to be official as it includes the Fox and Lucasfilm logos. Nothing to write home about as no details are included but at least it's something while we wait for May 4 to roll around!

It´s a movie still-photo... it´s not taken from the movie itself.

Yes, absolutely, Lucas has changed his mind for the first time in almost 15 years and is going to release the unaltered original trilogy on BD, very shortly after hell freezes over and satan is seen ice skating to work.

No synopsis for Big Tits Zombie.

One of the things I want to know the most is if sound track will be DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD. We all know the connection between Lucas and Dolby Labs. so I wouldn't be surprised if Dolby codec is used instead DTS even though Fox is a DTS supporting studio.

Me, I found myself remembering it from a Danger Mouse episode, so it's in good standing as bad-pun pedigrees go.
Kind of ruins it when even Lucas now "legitimizes" it as their joke, though.

That's a good point yes Fox does support DTS HD Master Audio but I have to think based on LFL recent history with Dolby Labs it will be Dolby True HD and not DTS HD Master Audio.

I really hope DTS codec is used instead of Dolby's.

Not going to happen. So no sense setting yourself up for disappointment.
Bat-Mite: "Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots then the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy."

Even though Dolby has better performance in 7.1? That it has better compatibility for everyone? That at worst TrueHD sounds exactly the same as Master Audio?

People need an audio education.
