The Cape will be premiering in January and they have released a new picture showing his new costume. Can't wait to check out the pilot.

I hope this makes it because Summer Glau really should still be doing Firefly or Terminator. However both started a little slow and got hit by what I call "nerd boys" who just can't watch sci-fi without picking apart every little detail to find some reason to hate on it.

I hope this will not fall into the same trap.

Her appearance on Chuck this week actually made the show hit a 1.7 in 18-49 which I believe is the season low. I don't know what is about her, but a lot of people tune out when she's on.

So is this the same promo they aired during May trying to get people hyped for it, from Upfronts?

I don't think that is because of her but more likely due to the Monday Night Football match up. I just think both series she has been on, were good shows and should still be on the air, started too slow. This day and age you got to grab people quick or their ADHD sets in and they move on.

Just think if Lost had started the way it started season 3. It wouldn't have made it past season 2.

I don't know, this show may have other problems besides Summer Glau. When the pilot screened at Comic-Con, I wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to see more. As mentioned, images of the new costume are floating around, so I don't know if those changes happen in subsequent episodes, or if the pilot has been drastically reshot.

Maybe Summer Glau just needs to get out of sci-fi tv. These shows traditionally have a very short lifespan. All it took to break the Nathan Fillion's curse was a move to a more mainstream type show.

Speaking of Glau, I wonder if she had a shot at the Mila Kunis role in The Black Swan. Not that Kunis didnt deserve the role cause I hear she's really well but that might have been the type of role that would have shown people Glau can do other things.

Just decided to watch the trailer linked previously, and was pretty surprised to see that they didn't even change it. It's the exact same one I watched in May at Upfronts. You'd think after 6 months and lots more additional filming, they could have put something much better together by this point.

I posted a link in the renew sticky that shows 25 minutes of what's coming up on NBC next year and anyways, there was a really good look at The Cape. Much better than that same trailer we've all seen over and over. I am actually looking forward to this now if it's as good as the latest preview would lead me to believe. Did not care for the first trailer at all, but the new one is much better.

The show will be on Mondays at 9 pm.

I will be watching it but I am scared this will be another case where I start enjoying the show it will get cancel after 10 episodes

Afterall, how can people watch this? It's not a reality show full of crappy wannabe singers or dancers, a cop, lawyer or doctor show.

It's entirely possible that will happen, but there's unfortunately no way to know until the show starts and we see how the ratings go. I don't blame you for being scared, but that's not because I think the show is doomed before it starts. Monday is a rough night, but The Event was able to get good ratings at first, so The Cape having the timeslot it does isn't a complete loss.

I will be watching this because it has Summer Glau in it, so I hope for the best and that her string of bad luck with TV shows comes to an end.

Just don't know. . . but after seeing that teaser, I feel I could skip the first episode. Kind of showed a LOT.

I'm not sure whether it will be good or awful, but I will still watch it anyways because of Summer Glau.
