The City of Lost Children (La cité des enfants perdus) has got to be one of my favorite foreign films of all time. If you have not seen it I highly recommend it. Anyone else love this amazing film? Anyone heard anything of a Blu-Ray release either here or for import?

I was actually wondering this same thing a few weeks ago. I was going to make a thread, but didn't bother. I loved this movie! It had great atmosphere!

This is one of my all time favorite movies! The effects are simply amazing and this would be so awesome on bluray! I wish the directing team would do another film together!

It's fine!

I have just been wanting this one on blu for a while. Love the movie! Saw it at the theatres, when it first came out, and own the dvd.

I watched this a hundred times, but never got the Dvd because (if I remember correctly the dvd was a non anamorphic flipper) I was waiting for a better reissue. For the love of god, this needs to just come out already.

They've played it on the Sony Movie Channel in HD, but they're taking their sweet time for a blu-ray release.

Yeah add me to the list of anxiously awaiting the Blu. I am sure it would look great in HD and I have only seen it once and a while ago. Bring it on asap!

I was quite lucky a couple of years back, I found a box-set with Delicatessen, TCoLC and La Haine for the same price that I paid for the single Delicatessen (that I unfortunately already owned) around €20.

IIRC that version of TCoLC was anamorphic.

The R1 was anamorphic. It wasn't really a flipper either -- one side was 16:9 and the other was 4:3. There was no reason to ever bother with the 4:3 side. The big problem (IMO) was that it had dubtitles instead of the proper theatrical subs.

I'm so sick of this question. 99% of Blu-rays look better than their DVD counterpart. Period.
