On August 31, Season 2 of the hit FX series arrives on disc. Created by Kurt Sutter (The Shield), Sons of Anarchy focuses on a group of outlaw motorcyclists who seek to protect their small town against drug dealers, corporations, and the law… while also maintaining their coldblooded arms business. Charlie Hunnam stars as Jackson "Jax" Teller, "a man whose love for the brotherhood is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness," while Katey Sagal plays Gemma Teller Morrow, Jax's mother, and Ron Perlman is Clarence "Clay" Morrow, Jax's stepfather and the biker club president.

The show has grown in popularity since its debut, with a 72% increase in viewership from season one to season two. Supporting castmembers include Kim Coates (Prison Break), Tommy Flanagan (Smokin' Aces), Ryan Hurst (Wanted), Johnny Lewis (The O.C.), William Lucking (The World's Fastest Indian), Theo Rossi (Cloverfield), Maggie Siff (Mad Men), Adam Arkin (Life), Ally Walker (Profiler) and Henry Rollins (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End).

The sets, which will be available on Blu-ray for $41.99 thru Amazon pre-order and will include the following special features:

+1 i waited to get season 1 when it was on sale for $24 and as much as i loved the 1st season (on a blind buy) i will wait for season 2 to drop to a good price.

Psssssshhhhhhh, I would pay $70 for each of these seasons, though they would never sell on Amazon for that much, lol. But the $40 I paid for season one was way more than worth it. And that was after I had bought the entire first season on iTunes for $35.

Awesome! I too bought Season 1 on a blind buy and then finished it in a weekend. Just couldn't stop watching! I didn't actually get Season 1 until a few months ago so I never saw any Season 2 episodes so this will be a for sure buy as well. I agree that $41.99 is a great day one price.

Me too, I've been waiting for this one for a loooong time. The 1st season was a blind buy, and one of the best I've ever done. I think it'll be first day out buy for me.

I think it is worth the buy but I am a fan of the show. Glad to see that season 3 starts tonight.
