Does anyone have details regarding the Dutch release of Highlander 2? I have just ordered this but I'd like to hear from those who have purchased it.

Oh, well it doesn't even come out until December 2010... of course there are no reviews yet, that's 6 months away.

Im pretty sure that release date is in European format...ie 12 May

It was in the U.S. The original cut was labeled "Renegade Cut", but the more recent anamorphic release was just called "Director's Cut." I recall reading somewhere that there were slight alterations in the edits, though.

EDIT: Actually, the most recent edition isn't called anything except just "Highander 2", but its the renegade edit with a few possible changes.

One Dutch site says this is the same as the 2004 Special Edition, which makes sense since that was issued on DVD a few years back.
So what you will get is the Renegade Version with CGI alterations minus one scene where Louise Marcus fires her weapon as she and Connor breaks into the December installation.

I'd welcome the two theatrical cuts on BD, both the US and UK/European ones, as well as the Renegade Version and the now released Special Edition.

The BD arrived today and after watching about 10 minutes of it I would advise anyone contemplating getting this to hold out for another edition.

I can't get down to the nitty-gritty technical information as I don't have the software ability for that but PQ-wise this screams up-rez from the source used for the previous DVD release.
