Bloodsport / Timecop Double Feature September 14. - Blu-ray Forum

Warner Home Video has announced three double-feature Blu-ray titles for release on September 14. Two of them belong squarely in the family genre: A Cinderella Story / Another Cinderella Story and Shiloh / Saving Shiloh (for some reason, Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season got skipped over). The third one is somewhat more action-oriented: the Van Damme double feature Bloodsport / Timecop.

No special features have been listed.

I'm really happy that both Bloodsport and Timecop are going to be released on Blu-ray soon because I do really like these movies, but I dislike the fact that they are going to be released as a Double Feature. I'm going to buy them but I would have preferred if they would have gotten individual releases.

I thought Universal owned Timecop. Did Warner buy out some of their old catalog titles?

I'll buy this one just for Bloodsport since I really didn't care for Timecop. If my Bloodsport DVD was a VHS copy it would have been worn out a long time ago.

Warner owns the distribution rights in the US, not sure why.

I actually want the ACS doublepack, I adore Duffy and that first one is cute. The sequel sucks but oh well, I doubt the first one will get a solo release any time soon.

I would have preferred individual releases since I only want Bloodsport but I will get it when it is released.

Better it be bundled with something half-way decent like Timecop then bundled with something like Double Impact

The big question is: Is Time Cop in Widecreen? I love this movie but Inever bought the DVD back in the day because it was full screen and I will not buy this blu if it's full screen again......

The quality of the movies would be no different if released separately. But I agree, I would prefer individual releases as well. But I can deal with getting 2 titles like this for under $20.

The DVD version of Timecop that I own is 2.35:1

I know, I just prefer to have an individual release for each movie but I will get use to it. With Bloodsport being almost a cult classic and Timecop being Van Damme's highest grossing movie, I thought they deserved individual releases. If these were his DTV movies then I could understand the decision, like a double feature of In Hell/Wake Of Death for example. But the most important thing is that i will finally own these on Blu-ray

That's strange. All the copies I've seen on the stores stated it was full screen. Unless Universal quietly released a widescreen version after....

It was released in 2008 as a quadruple feature.

I've wanted both of these on blu-ray, so this works out for me

But yeah, I am still confused as to how Warner got the US rights to Timecop. For years it was a Universal release, even pakaged in a 4 movie DVD pack alongside Hard Target, The Quest, and *snicker* Street Fighter. Hmm, weird.
