Man the draft is boring as hell to watch.

I'm a Cavs fan, and am ok with us rolling the dice on Waiters with Beal and MKG already gone.

I've got nothing against Zeller at #17 either, though I'd have preferred not having to give up all our remaining picks for him.

Why did Detroit draft that overrated, likely future NBA stiff Drummond at #9? Center is literally the only position they were already set at with Greg Monroe becoming a very solid player. Makes no sense unless they trade that pick.

Because Monroe doesn't like playing C.

Talk about everything going right for New Orleans. They went from losing their superstar PG before last season to everything going right of late. Looks like their lineup for next season could look something like this.

PG - Jarrett Jack/Austin Rivers/Greivis Vasquez
SG - Eric Gordon/Xavier Henry
SF - Al-Farouq Aminu
PF - Anthony Davis/Jason Smith
C - Chris Kamen

I'm just not sure exactly where Austin Rivers fits in there. He has a ton of talent but is more of a shoot first PG. Almost more of a SG.

Yeah, if they end up signing Gordon to a long term deal, then drafting Rivers was a little strange, since they're basically the same type of player. I believe the Hornets think that they can convert him into a PG on this team. It remains to be seen whether or not that's a good idea.

I am very surprised that the Heat didn't draft Ezeli. He was still available when we picked, and he would have been a perfect fit on our team as a center. I wonder if the idea of a guaranteed contract had anything to do with it, since we're already in big luxury tax territory and with much harsher penalties looming ahead in the near future?

Jarrett Jack really overachieved last year because he was our #1 option (yes you read that right). I think you've got it right where Rivers starts out as the backup to Jack. I'm happy as hell with how the team has improved. It's a fresh start now.

Jarrett Jack should still be that starting PG; Austin Rivers is more of a come-off-the-bench kinda guy or a catch-and-shoot kinda guy.

What is with all the hyphens in names of players these days? Are guys getting married and adding on their wife's name or something?

Yes, they need to control their payroll. I am sure that had tagged a couple of guys that they would drafted, but they were not there @ #27 and they passed on everyone else.

yeah i had a feeling Miami would get out of their 1st round obligation somehow. I don't think they had any intentions on signing a rookie for next season.

Only thing i can think of...is they figure Drummond is going to take a fews years to develope anyway and can play some minutes behind Monroe?

if he developes, it could be a good pick....wont know for a few years really

on another note...looks like Jeremy Lamb could get decent run in Houston, so excited to see how he plays...

does anyone know if Jeremy Lamb and Doran Lamb are brothers?

Ew the Timberwolves tried to trade Derrick Williams during the draft for Pau Gasol and now that the draft's over they're still trying to get him. I'd much rather have Derrick than Pau, at least Derrick's young and has a lot of potential, Pau's definitely on the decline.

Id take Pau...i think his game would really pick up without having to worry about Kobe and Bynum...

He would be a veteran on the team and could work nicely with Love...

Williams did not impress in his first year....granted, playing time was limited and clogged at the position.
