Sadly, this one is not going to be under a xmas tree.

I still need to do a QC process before we replicate for a new year release.

I want to make sure quality will be the best possible - we are using the director approved LUT/DPX 4K files.

Theres tons of awesome movies to release yet crappy movies are being released in Bluray. Why? Where are movies like Alaipayuthey, Padayappa, Annamalai, Baasha?

A lot of factors come into play when you are looking at catalog titles for a blu-ray release - perceived demand for that particular title, who holds the BD rights for that particular movie, the condition of the negative or original source, the cost of restoration or telecine process, etc. It is a complicated world out there..
