I'd been waiting for a gold box myself for this set, but never got one. Yet I consistently get plenty of gold box offers for stuff I'd never even bother watching, let alone purchase...go figure, right?

This release is sounding better and better by the day. If only I hadn't spent all my money on my Toy Story 3 pre-order. Time to work a few extra hours!

It has been awhile since I last read a dvdbeaver review but, does he always include a screenshot of the blue rating card? Just seems odd too me to include that.

Not a bad review, I can't wait to get this along with the Alien Anthology next week.

It is sounding better.

I really would have preferred 3 individual BDs like Fox did for the X-men box set. This digipak looks terrible & I'm not into collectible tins or collectible packaging whatsover. But the disc themselves are sounding pretty sweet.

Most Universal releases in the U.S. include Latin Spanish. Though there have been very rare exceptions like Serenity which included both. If you're looking for Castillian Spanish you could probably import from Spain. This release should be region-free.
You could buy from here: http://www.dvdgo.com/dvd-trilogia-re...1804460/155021 Never had any problems importing from them.

Just finished watching Back to the future and all i can say is wow !!!!

The color palette is very natural and the black levels are very solid, all this talk of too much Dnr is wrong as it's been applied very carefully to get the balance just right and still leave a very detailed image.

The grain structure is very evident throughout and and there is lots of fine detail that just pops of the screen that you did just not notice on the Dvd version, but most of all it's a very filmlike image and does not have the processed image many were worried about from the screenshots,as i said in motion it's a totaly different story than looking at static images.

I can't imagine this movie looking any better and the restoration process is top notch, they have obviously spent a lot of time on this and it shows.

The sound as i said in my mini review before is pretty solid througout and a nice upgrade over the lossy tracks found on the regular Dvd.

Now as i said before after having a look at all three movies this morning the movies slightly improve in quality on parts two and three,so i can't wait to watch the next two movies as i am in for a real treat if the first movie is anything to go by.

***** For anyone interested in seeing the boxset in more detail i have posted some pictures in my home theater gallery !!!

To everyone in Canada, the Trilogy will be $38 at Walmart.

Edit: Bunch of morons who are making the weekly flyers... It is for the DVDs.

Really? That's cool! I might just buy it for that price. That sure makes the Aliens set look awfully expensive.

Good point there is no way the Alien boxset should cost so much when you consider how good value for money the Back to the future set is.

Since all the reviews came out great, how about a nice breather

side topic: Anyone ever read the draft 1 script of BTTF 2?

I just finished it today from BTTF.com

Wow very different, the whole 1967 hippie era plot..

I would of loved to seen this version as well.. Has more humor and quite a few twists and turns.. the budget would of been nuts.. The script definately needed polished but man was it interesting.. Doc on LSD rofl!!!
