Wow, I think Gemma is one of the best actresses out there. She was very sexy in the 007 movie "Quantum of Solace" and I liked her in "Clash of the Titans" as well.

I have not seen "Prince of Persia" but if there was one reason I would go it would be because of Gemma Arterton - she's yummy.

I'm with DrrnHarr on this one.

I'd like to vouch for Jake's acting here, but I spent most of the movie with my eyes on Gemma Arterton. Though a major reason why I'm anticipating Clash of the Titans, she's the main reason I'm picking up Prince of Persia.

The movie was good. It was nice to look at Gemma too. I will likely get it.

Not really a fail. It's still the highest grossing video game movie of all time and probably is pretty close to breaking even after you add in the promotional costs. Plus, your thinking is kind of backwards. Alice in Wonderland was a hit and came out only three months after it was in the theaters, so you would think a movie that you say bombed would come out sooner than most that come out in the usual 4-5 month period.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this movie it's what I expected from a Jerry Bruckheimer movie I do agree with one thing with the Jake Gyllenhaal they should've picked someone else for this type of movie but he still did a good job and I can't wait to hear the sound on this movie it should be really good.

I really enjoyed this film, saw it for the second time yesterday with a friend who didn't like it as much as me.... Day one Blu, hope I have a new HT in time for it and Iron Man 2's release, that would be cool

That's exactly what I saw. One of the most awkward moments was during
[Show spoiler]Tamina's demise.
It felt like two completely different versions of that scene were awkwardly cut together.
[Show spoiler]She goes from forcing the Prince to let her fall to fearing for her life in the blink of an eye. Plausible but the fact that her facial reactions don't match the audio during her fall makes me suspect last minute changes took place.

Also, I noticed right after the two jump out of the room where the
[Show spoiler]king just died
, and they get out of the water, Gemma is saying something but her mouth is hardly moving.

That is so true. In fact, I don't think she was speaking during that shot at all and they simply ADR'ed her lines. I seem to recall that something similar happened earlier with the Dastan when he was raiding Alamut.

I definitely hope there's a better cut on the BD.

This movie did take us on a action filled ride though, regardless of the debateable small things...it beats out many of our existing movies in our current libraries imo.

Not really. As much as I enjoyed it, it's not better than most movies I've seen. Although it is one of the better movies this summer has currently offered. The A-Team being the only one (of those I've seen) that beats it so far.

And those are hardly "debateable small things". They are clear flaws that hurt the film. Not enough to make it terrible but enough to not allow it to be the great adventure film it should have been.

That aside, I know I'll be getting it on BD.
