I thought it would have been much higher to be honest. It is high, but not as bad as it could have been.

Not really. I assume Kadokawa owns the rights to the English subtitle script and also realize it could make some extra money if it adds English subs. I am guessing that Bandai will release its own version somewhere down the line.

Release has been delayed (new date is November 26, 2010).
Source: http://www.animeinblu.com/?p=810 This may prove beneficial to some, as October is filled to the brim with highly-anticipated releases. Plus, of course, it may enable Kadokawa to add more features. |

Well there is The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Blu-ray/DVD combo pack if that counts. As for the 2 seasons, it's hard to say what will happen with them. While Bandai Entertainment America isn't officially dead yet, but their current situation is making it that much harder to release the tv series.
