So Shrek Forever After SUCKED, but i wouldnt mind buying a collection of all four shreks, now that the series is over. Anybody know if there planning a release of a collection? I know Shrek 4 will probably be released in October/November, but im not sure about a collection.

The first 2 are the BEST, the second being my favorite of all four. The third one was alright, decent. and the fourth was just a lame sequel. Although it did a pretty good job of connecting with the previous three movies. Im a sucker for movie collections and think it would be cool to have a box set with cool packaging.

I'm expecting a set when the fourth film is announced for Blu.

I would hope Shrek 1 & 2 would be announced the same time as Shrek 4. I can't think of a better time to release them.

my problem w/CG films from Pixar, Fox, Dreamworks and everyone else like Disney is how 3-D will affect their entire catalog. i know that it's basically a foregone conclusion that all Pixar films will be 3-D. so i know i'll be 'rebuying' it all when they all come out again for BD3D. while i already have pretty much everything from Pixar, i don't mind getting it all again in BD3D.

the other studios... i've held off on getting stuff. even though i have Shrek3. gonna wait til Shrek1-4 is all BD3D. Ice Trilogy BD3D and so on.

I wonder when the Shrek Collection will be released, now that How to train your dragon will be relased in october, would shrek come out in November? or maybe even December?

Any word yet on when Shrek Forever After and the rest of the Shrek films will be released on blu ray. I am getting annoyed at Dreamworks/Paramount with their slow turn around time from theaters to blu ray, anything more than 6 months is just absurd!

I am still waiting and this honestly driving me nuts that dreamworks is taking such a looooong time with an announcement!

Sorry thank you for educating me I was not aware that Quadrilogy was a trademark of fox. Regardless it is annoying that dreamworks wants to take over six months to release a non holidays movie to blu ray and they should make a box set and release the first two as well!

I doubt we will see a November release of the movies with Train your dragon being released in October I can see this set being released only a few weeks before the Holidays which would be a terrible mistake in my opinion. Disney does a far better than Dreamworks/Paramount releasing their movies and marketing them this is a asinine amount of time to wait for a non holiday movie!

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Dreamworks Animation movie Shrek Forever After for Blu-ray release on December 7. On the same date, the studio will also release Shrek: The Whole Story, a gift set including all four Shrek movies.

Special features on Shrek Forever After include a "12 Days of Christmas" pop-up book, deleted scenes, interactive games, a preview of "Shrek the Musical" and an insider's look at the film.

For a limited time, both Shrek Forever After and Shrek: The Whole Story will also include a new holiday program, Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular, featuring all the characters from the franchise singing classic holiday songs with Shrek-ized lyrics, as well as the "Shrek's Yule Log" - a virtual fireplace with appearances by more than 25 Shrek characters.

At the moment the studio has not revealed any plans to release Shrek or Shrek 2 on Blu-ray separately. Shrek the Third was released on Blu-ray in September 2008.

A 3D Blu-ray edition of the movie will be offered exclusively to buyers of Samsung 3D hardware (see Blu-ray.com, September 17).

i hope the set has 4 individual cases, 1 for each movie. i really dislike big bulky box sets, i'd rather have the individal case for each movie on my shelf.

will def. pick up the box set for my daughter and keep it for an x-mas gift for her.

Glad to see the whole collection come to blu! Will be picking this up but when the price drops.
