I purchased the Authority Machine Gun, but one can be found in the Shrouded Bunker. I prefer to use it over the Settler's Assault Rifle. The only time I use the latter is when I have an over abundance of ammo. From not using it.

Holy crap the ending was anticlimactic. Glad I just rented the game.

Also, I missed ONE playing card so I couldn't 100% the game, which is lame. And I couldn't go back to the prison to get it...damn.

Oh well, game is beautiful and was fun. Bring on Doom 4, id!

I had so many pop rockets for my shotty, that I never used anything else through that. Before I knew it, the game ended.

As noted above, you can find it behind a Locked door in the Shrouded base (I'm currently there now), so no specific need to buy it. I did buy it, however, and you actually get $500 for picking it up if you already have it in your inventory. If you have the 5% discount for purchases, that means you can actually buy it for $475 and net $25 out of the deal.

However, if you've got other things to spend money on, like schematics, buy those first. They're more important.

Made it to Subway Town last night.

Wow, I'm shocked at how fun this game has gotten since the beginning. It started out a bit slow

[Show spoiler]but once the mutants got involved the intensity went from a 1 to a 10 immediately. the way they jump on/off walls, roll around, and zig-zag all over the place makes for some intense gunplay as you move your crosshairs from one mutant to the other in an effort to survive.

I dig the car combat as well but it tends to get stale after a while. Every once and a while i would take my ride out with the intentions of killing some bandits (to collect bounty as I thought this was an important way to make $$$) but I noticed the enemies showing up in the same locations time after time and I made tons of moolah elsewhere. Its fun but I'm gonna give it a rest until a mission calls for it.

I have a curious question, I just made it to Subway Town and so far my weapons include:

[Show spoiler]the pistol, combat shotgun, double barrel shotgun (DLC), sniper rifle, assault rifle, some other assault rifle, rocket launcher, crossbow...i think thats it.

Are there any other weapons I should have?

No other weapons until endgame. You may still have an alternative ammo type or two.

1.I take it back regarding fist of fury you get on the anarchy edition/preorder -i use this significantly a lot more than the guns when in the TV show thingy and when against mutants. One hit kills as mentioned. Great ammo saver

2.The game volume is definitely hot. meaning around 10db hotter than my dead island, even BFBC2 on war tapes.

3.I dont like the assault rifle too much, so i dont invest on it i DO...

4.Love the shotgun. use it frequently, and pretty much use pop rockets for anything big. problem with pop rockets is you cant loot anything afterwards.

5. Sentry turrets or bots? dont need in my case. just weight. build and sell.

6. i hate the rocket launcher. can never figure out when it 'autolocks' to the big monster. do you press the triangle button at all? or is it just graphics?

It does remind me of borderlands instead of fallout.

Hmm. I miss fallout 3. Omegaice, Supersix and Socaltiger will hate me when i say

Didn't see any reason to conserve ammo in Rage. Only used fists out of curiosity after downloading the DLC. For Mutant Bash Arena I just use the shotgun, robots and wingsticks.

I made pretty liberal use of the Authority Machine Gun on Nightmare difficulty.

[Show spoiler]I know,i know, blasphemy. but i guess thats one thing Fallout 3 had for me, it reminds me of what the wasteland SHOULD be, while NV felt it was accomplishing too much. storywise, FO3 was better. NV just didnt feel right to me, factions, karma variables, who im siding with etc. got too complicated. Gameplay improvements tho, were definitely a plus. a solid plus to be honest. Anyways, will get back to it one day. some day. maybe by the end of the year.

I think it was worth it. But I also got the $10 credit from Amazon for the pre-order. And I beat it. And I'm going to sell it for $30. It was worth having around for $20.

Anyone with a mic want to play Legends of the Wasteland on Nightmare?

They're mega overpowered. Especially once you get the upgraded version. I take down all the heavy mobs with them.

I think the game is worth it at a discounted price or maybe even a rental. I don't want to spoil the game for anybody who hasn't played it yet but that's my opinion.

I hate Five Finger Filet as well. I can't even get past round 4, and round 5 is supposed to be totally RANDOM. I wish they let you make a save after the rounds....

Well. I'll spoil it. Like already mentioned. The ending is. Weird. Like these fragments! But, that seems an issue that's pervasive in any first or third person shooter. Quake still has the best last boss. Remember telefraging Shub-Niggurath? That was funny.

I think its worth a play for sure but I definitely see this game being hit or miss with most people.

My only big gripe is that I feel I'm blowing through this game and it will be over much sooner than I would like. Maybe I'm missing something but I feel as though I did ALL the side missions available on the first disc and whats bad about that is that they were easy and very short and I'm playing on HARD. It just needs to offer more in the way of missions. The world could be a little more fleshed out as well. The size of the world isn't massive but they could have done more with it...it just feels like empty wasted space most of the time. what little freedom you have to roam, even THAT feels like an illusion and very unnecessary...it just feels empty aside from the "bandits" that pop up in the same places over and over.

Another thing are the items you come across. It feels like half the stuff I pick up serves no purpose what so ever other than to be sold for $$$...which is fine but it makes collecting items gimmicky to me.

Anyway, like the game and all I just wish it were more because its a blast to play...just really shallow.

i understand how you feel. pretty much empty at times, and well, like a zombie, you're pretty much numb in the experience. immersed? yes, if you can get over the texture popping at most, and afterwards, well, its a canvas. a painting. one thing i liked about FO was i can actually GO to that mountain i see across the horizon.

im a hoarder, and again i feel you on this one. i loot as much as possible, and well, this one isnt lootin at all. its a random, er... pick me up thing. 'no purpose' as youve mentioned is a perfect way to describe what your doing 'picking up the lager lite bottle'.

Anyway, like the game and all I just wish it were more because its a blast to play...just really shallow.

pretty much sums it up for me. i liked it, i enjoyed the game at times, and in fairness i think im pretty much halfway through. at LEAST with dead island, i felt like i can go back and forth into the jungle, onto the hotel, the beach... just do SOMETHING i want. if you hit the other places (ghost territory for example), theres no one there to pop up. nothing.

i loved the game, but in retrospect, i can say i would wait a bit for the price to drop. justify 20 dollars off and id buy it all over again. or at least fix the texture popping with an update.
