Looks like its gonna be a fantastic christmas for us twilight fans...eclipse has a release date of Dec.24 2010

America's release date is rumored to be October 30th. Which is a Saturday and movies 1 and 2 also came out on a Saturday.

I thought movies only come out on Tuesday in the US?

They don't have to, some movies try to be "special" and come out on a different day. First one I remember doing this was Spiderman when the dvd first came out.

They do but for some reason the Twilight Saga movies are released on Saturdays.

Ah okay, makes sense that Twilight belongs in the special category

Is the movie any good? I am a huge Kristen Stewart fan but I didn't care too much for the previous installments.

Haven't seen the 3rd movie but heard it's more action packed and the best of the 3 movies.

I think there just sparing the normal buying public that buys stuff on Tuesday having to see the emo twilight fans cry if they run out of copies. But that's just my opinion.

I doubt it'll come out that late. I bet November the latest. July movies usually come out in December.

That date was for Germany while the American date is rumored for October 30th.

That is one of the reasons why I think they do it since then they can have midnight parties and things like that with no school the next day.

That December date is for Germany so it may be that for them not sure when Eclipse was released or how they do movies over there. Yeah I'm thinking October for us to or early November.

Comparing some other German releases, some they're getting before us and some after. So there's really no way to say yet.
