Great news. While I don't plan on initially picking it up, it makes me hopeful that a Complete Series box set will get released soon after...

I am also wondering if I should get them as they come out or wait for a box set. I never got the DVD releases of them when they came out 6 years ago.

Super awesome, I was afraid the blu seasons would be released slowly. Glad to know we're at least getting 2 before the year's up!

So how exactly will be the episodes shot on tape be handled for this release? If I recall, the handful that were done on tape were all part of Season 2.

It's not often that we see a season announced before the previous one is even released, but I like it. At that rate, the whole series should be out by May '11.
The extra "L" is for "typo."

Rec'd my copy today from amazon.

They shipped it in one over thier sturdy cardboard foldover style envelopes.

It came in Mint condition. I am on a lucky streak with them lately.

The cover looks nice.

Why won't they release the Twilight Zone blu-rays in-stores?
Clementine: You're not a stalker, or anything, right?
Joel: I'm not a stalker. YOU'RE the one that talked to me, remember?
Clementine: That is the oldest trick in the stalker book.
Joel: Really? There's a stalker book? Great, I gotta read that one.

I was wondering the same thing when Season 1 was about to be released. Not even my local Barnes & Noble was stocking it! It was so odd. I would think with sales of the Star Trek Blus being decent sellers that a store like Barnes would stock it and at least Best Buy the first few weeks... but I had to end up ordering it direct from Amazon.com and I even started a PRIME account after the free 30Day trial.

it has proved to be well worth it. Both slipcovers from amazon on the ZONE sets have been in great condition.

Fingers crossed for Season 3 to be the same.

I ordered 2 copies of TZ season 1 to try and get a mint sleeve, and both times amazon shipped in a mailer and they got crushed.
season 2 was in a foldover box like you described, and is almost perfect.
I'm so bummed I'll likely never have a nice season 1 sleeve for my favorite series on blu-ray all because of a stupid cheap mailer envelope.

I would try to contact someone at Image and see if you can get a replacement slip cover from them for season 1. I know they have been slightyl hard headed over the issues some have had technically with Season 1 Discs... but it is worth a shot.

it's a thought, but I just can't see worrying about it.
the sleeve I kept is probably not as bad as I made it seem, but it's not as nice as it could have been.
I can always buy one off ebay one day from some crazed sleeve seller.
