only downside to these 2 movies is the fact that warner will distribute them which surely means subpar picture and audio quality

Probably to maximize profits from both movies, what I want to know is why they didn't release it as a trilogy at first and then as individuals later. Granted I don't want 3 but still.

They don't have a consistent track record obviously, but Rush Hour 3 received high marks in both areas, so there's a chance.

Technically Rush Hour 3 was still a NewLine release as the work was completed prior to combining with Warner Bros.

Exactly. Writing off Rush Hour 1 and 2 just because you don't like what he did with X3 is just plain dumb. They are completely different movies and you are dismissing two good movies for no good reason. Oh well, to each their own. Bring on these movies!
