Default Pixar's Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales - 11/2/10

Mater's Tall Tales Blu-ray

Quote:
Joining the blockbuster in stores (and snagging a spot once held for Finding Nemo's Blu-ray debut) as the now standard Pixar cross-promote is Mater's Tall Tales, which collects nine of the "Cars Toons" shorts that center on Lightning McQueen's trusty, rusty tow truck pal Mater. Two of these cartoons (Mater Private Eye and Moon Mater) have never before been released.
The 38-minute compilation will be available on DVD ($26.99 SRP) and in a Blu-ray + DVD Combo pack ($29.99 SRP). Bonus features will include the featurette "Unmade Tall Tales" and a sneak peek of Disneyland's forthcoming Cars Land.
MMMMM!! I love the smell of brand new slipcovers!!!

38 minute BD that retails for $30? I'd pay maybe $5.

This. Here's to hoping for a special price for buying this and TS3 together as well as $10 coupons for each.
Rob Zombie's Halloween 2: Proof that any steaming pile can have fans, no matter how horrible it is.

I blind-buy ALOT. Don't bother trying to call me out on something in my collection when I dislike a movie kthx! :)

IMO Cars was thier worst film so far so i have very little interest in this. I love Pixar and found Cars to buy for dirt cheap but it does not live up to any other Pixar film.

Ugh. Looks like I'll never own all the Pixar Blu-Rays then. Definitely not interested.

I hate that they even made this. I absolutely LOVE Pixar shorts for their originality, then they go and make 9 about my least favorite character from arguably the worst movie they made.

Clearly this will sell, but the Cars license just irritates me.

I'll go on record by saying that I don't understand all the lack of love given to Cars. It's in my top 5 favorite movies of the decade. Ah, well, you know what they say about opinions...

That said, I'm not sure even I would add this to my collection. Even if I do, it'll only be at a greatly reduced price than the one listed.

9 was made by Universal it has nothing to do with Pixar.

On top of that 9 was a spectacular film and was just behind Up for best animated film of 2009 IMHO.

I'm still wondering why Pixar Shorts Collection Vol. 2 was never released. It's only been 3 years since Vol. 1 was released.

Oh i see the way i was reading it i thought "then they go and make 9 about my least favorite character from arguably the worst movie they made" was saying they made 9 and he was his least favorite character. Now when i read it it makes more sense.

Yeah. I was a little confused too at first. I had to read it a few times to get what he was saying.

That's cool, I always missed them when they came on Disney. But I agree, the price is too high for what it is.

I'm one of the few people who loved Cars and I will get this, but choosing this release over Finding Nemo...??? WTF?

Yep. I agree with you. I wonder if it was just the blu-ray and not a combo pack release. Would it be cheaper?
