True, but there was little reason for him to turn down a role in the first one if he would have. I'm sure he would have made it work if he could have since being in that movie was a big deal regardless of how well it was going to do.

Expendables 2 needs Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Danny Trejo!

Psst: We need Uwe Boll to direct it.

I hope because the first was a sucsess the budget is big enough for this one that he can cast everyone he wants. I think I read that he had to cut on or two people from the first one due to budget. I also agree that this movie needs Dawyne, Vin, Trejo, Liam Neeson( he has shown he can really be a badass), Van Damme, more Arnold, etc.... Man I wish I was in charge of casting.

Since they're obviously not getting Kurt Russell, Harrison Ford or Mel Gibson, the sequel needs Michael Biehn and Bill Paxton. They're part of that era too. Aren't as big of names, but come on -- The Terminator, The Abyss, Predator 2, Near Dark, Tombstone and Navy SEALS!

If they're allowed to film in prison, they could get Wesley Snipes for a cameo. He could be Terry Crews' imprisoned brother!

That's why I quoted his post and not your post

The way you worded it I agreed: 'he's at his best when he directs' and not 'every time someone else directs they suck'.

Haha, I figured. But I figured I should still post it anyway. But your point has been made. I think Rocky, Cliffhanger, and Copland are all the exceptions to the rule.

Will sense Stallone is not directing #2 than he needs to get a start on releaseing the Director's Cut of the Expendables.

Snipes will not be in this because he will be in jail and odds are Seagal wont be either because of his issues with one of the producers and JCVD..

Stallone will direct this.. he has too!

Agreed. Sylvester Stallone is pretty top notch when he is involved in the entire process of directing, writing, and acting. I enjoyed The Expendables so I imagine I will enjoy a sequel, especially if Bruce Willis or Arnold S. returns for a full role.

I really enjoyed The Expendables, seen the movie twice in the theatres. I hope Sylvester Stallone directs the sequel aswell. Although I will probably enjoy the sequel when another director directs it. . But my vote goes to Sly though!

It's good to see the script is being written by writers this time. The first movie had all action and a WTF plot.

I don't go see a movie like the Expendables for plot. I go to see badass action stars kill people. I agree the plot was kind of sucked in the first but I still loved it. I want even more action and action stars in this one and I will be in action movie heaven.
