January 4th is correct, they're stalling the DVD / Blu-Ray release for the international release schedule.

Such a shame that such a good movie has flopped so dramatically.

Let's hope the DVD/Blu-Ray sales earn back some of the film's budget.

I didn't even know there was a movie for it and also just found out that there's a graphic novel series of it. I only knew about the videogame which looks good from the demo i've played of it.

Was really hoping it would be released sooner, especially in light of its poor performance at the box office. Why release it after the holidays? I think a lot of people will have forgotten about it come January. On the other hand, I guess there will be less competition from other releases.

Day one purchase for me. Saw it twice in the theaters on opening weekend.

The graphic novels are amazing as well--and I don't even LIKE graphic novels.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see this release sooner as it flops internationally just like it did in the US.

Case in point? Serenity.

Universal released it to DVD less than three full months after it's theatrical release because not only it flopped in the US, but it flopped in the other six countries Universal released it theatrically in until they thought it was a better idea to send it straight-to-video everywhere else.

The date seems solid to me. (Terrific movie by the way, saw it twice in Vegas). Its release date is late november for the theaters in Belgium (my home country) so start of 2011 sounds like it's pretty solid, if you want my opinion :/

The Other Guys is getting released the week before Christmas in theaters in here LOL

Man it really sucks that this cool film is bombing on the big screen. I found it to be the best film of the year so far. It's so different and fresh.

Can't wait for the blu.

Right. It's extraordinarily well received, but it's made only $20 million in two weeks and is in (I think) 8th place at the box office. It's financially a failure.
