Default Akira Kurosawa's Dreams on blu??

Hey guys, I'm new to the site and I freaking love it (just took advantage of that BB Anchorman deal!). I like knowing I can come here with questions for my ever-growing blu collection, so here's mine for now....has anyone hear anything at about Akira Kurosawa's 'Dreams' coming to blu in any part of the world?

Not too sure myself. I am not positive, but I think Warner Bros holds the U.S. rights to it or it could be Kurosawa's son. I don't have my books with me to check. Maybe someone else could verify the ownership of the film.

Edit: The distribution rights for North America resides with Warner Brothers. Toho has them for Japan.
The film itself is owned by Akira Kurosawa's company, which is now led by his son.

Just finished watching the hi-def print on Netflix Streaming, and this so needs a Blu release. (If only for the iconic "rainbow" shot, never mind the Van Gogh or Peach Blossom segments.)

Curse you, Warner, you've had the hi-def master available for years, get a move on!

Thanks for looking into it, I really want to add this to my collection, but not as a DVD

I would love this on Blu! I can only imagine what it would look like. The several books I have on Kurosawa show vivid color detail.

Any rumors about Dreams being released yet?

I would even buy a region free player just to get a copy of this! Such a beautiful movie. (It would have to have English subtitles though...)
