Who has always liked Ben Afleck?

I have always liked Ben Affleck. I never understood why he disappeared as a leading man during his flop years. I have liked all his respectable films such as Dazed & Confused, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, and I have always liked him in his less respectable films such as Daredevil, Reindeer Games, and Armegedon.

I'm happy he's getting a comeback - he never really deserved to be outcast from Hollywood just because he was in Gigli or that Christmas movie he was in. There have been plenty of respectable actors who have been in totally silly films, such as DeNiro, Pacino, Hoffman, Brando, but they didnt get kicked out of Hollywood. I'm not saying that Affleck is as good an actor as those actors, I'm just saying that Affleck has always been a pretty solid actor with a great portfolio of movies even before his comeback (starting with Hollywoodland).

Although a separate topic, I have always prefered Affleck more than Matt Damon.

Anyone else always liked him or you have only liked the comeback Afleck?
