Was this film ever released in the U.S.? How drastic is the pop on the 3DBD, I may import for that alone.

Default A Turtle's Tale 3D?

I took my little lad to watch this and while the film itself was very poor the 3D in it was some of the best I have seen so far (to be honest it was very close to Avatar).

You can tell some of it was really set up for the 3D what with fish popping out of the screen and what not but the depth sometimes was brilliant. The water looked like it was just in front of me at times.

I watched Toy Story 3 and got no 3D really but this blew me away.

Recommended if you are ito the pop outs

Is this the movie? It sounds like it. I have this on Blu-ray already. I haven't watched the whole thing, but just about the first 15 minutes or so. The 3D is very good, but yeah, the story is told through the turtle. By the way, this was announced in 2009 as a Disney Nature film. I am not sure if it even belongs to Disney anymore.

Here is the Region A release from Hong Kong:
http://www.yesasia.com/global/sammys...0-en/info.html

I picked up the Region B Italian Edition (has English) but can't comment on the story because I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. The director made some of the early animated IMAX films & and all of them have lots of comin' at ya style 3D effects. My old active field sequential 3D DVD of his film SOS Planet has some of the best pop-out 3D I've ever seen at home. There's an incredible scene featuring an animated octopus that extends way out into the living room and another scene of a sea turtle that swims out of the screen...

Ive just ordered this! I do love my animated films..doubt it'll be pixar standard but for £13.97 you can't go wrong!

Any UK readers ... £12.99 in store at Morrisons for 3D blu and DVD combi with lenticular sleeve.

I watched it last nite and it really pushes the technology to the limit! By far the best pop effects over all, tremendous. Trouble is, it tries so hard at time that there is some xtalk at each side of the screen .. but not enough to spoil the overall fun.
