hell yes! funny but the 2d case actually looks more 3d than the 3d case. damn though, I don't want to double dip. i want 3d version and a steelbook. does anybody know 4 sure if 3d will play 2d on a 2d setup? everyone keeps saying yes, but is there any real proof?

There are 3D discs in the wild now... if the claim was false, someone would have piped up about it by now. And there's really no need for paranoia, it's not just some random marketing claim you have to second guess - it's part of the general Blu-ray 3D specification that all 3D titles must adhere to.

RE: Afterlife was cheesy as hell, but it was consistently entertaining for its full runtime. Loved the fight towards the end.

This was really goofy, but entertaining. Definately better than the third film. I'll pick this one up.

HMV has one. And if they do, others might. Though something tells me don't expect the steelbook to house the 3d version. The HMV edition Steelbook is only the 2D. But that might be different with other store exclusives.

Future Shop has already confirmed it will be available in steelbook. What they haven't confirmed is if it'll be a 2D or 3D steelbook.

Saw this twice in theaters (in 3D) but I'll be getting the 2D version. Love this movie/series!

I want the steelbook to complete my RE steelie set, but I'm afraid this is a made for 3D movie. Many of the scenes in the trailer show forced 3D scenes and gives me a gut feeling those scenes will be out of placed in the regular release.
