So whats up with all these delays I keep reading from Amazon? Mine shipped release date January 4th and arrived the 6th no problems. As a matter of fact I haven't even removed the shrink wrap (still sealed)

I don't know. I've searched everywhere and can't find it. Can't even find Once Upon A Time in Mexico. Even the Best Buy's in my area don't have it. Even Wal Mart doesn't have it!

I went to a Best Buy in Austin and they did not have any of the movies, so they did a search of other BBs in the area and found that only two in the Austin area had these movies. Even then, they only had 3 copies of El Mari/Desp and only 2 copies of OUATIM. I drove over to the closest BB that had them and picked them up.

Strange deal.

Default How should I watch El Mariachi?

Looks like it might be in Spanish w/ English subs, or overdubbed English. I never saw it before. I don't mind reading subtitles.

What's the general consensus? Again, I'm just assuming it wasn't filmed in English.

THANKS!

It was filmed in Spanish, So I would watch it in Spanish with english subtitles. I always pick native language w/ subtitles, dubbing generally ruins it, unless it's movies like Riki oh: The story of Ricky

Are you serious? Have you taken a look around this site, especially the home theater picture section?

When people spend tens of thousands of dollars on home theater components and films to go along with it, you can consider people taking it seriously! Wow DUDE, you really posted in the wrong place!

My native language is Spanish, but my wife doesn't speak a word of it. Therefore many times we watch movies in the original Spanish with the subtitles on, and I can't help but to read them and compare. I think these English subtitles are adequate and the translation is good enough. I have read some Spanish subtitles that are horrendous. I think you should watch it in Spanish with English subtitles.

I was also blessed today with the extra amazon-provided copy of El mariachi/Desperado. Goes to my trade stack.

I just find it funny that you guys got all defensive over something as material as blu-ray movies. I love blu-ray's as much as anyone on the forum. I'm just not as hardcore about it as you guys. To each his own, I guess.

So has anyone "upgraded" from the Superbit and was it worth it?

For Desperado fans. The bar where Quentin tells the piss joke, I just wanna say I've drank so much booze there. Ha Ha. I live 3 miles away.

I haven't bought the movies yet, but I will.
