Several people, including myself, have posted about problems with loading the movie disk of Apocalypse Now into a Pioneer player, receiving messages from the player such as "cannot play disk" and "unknown disk".
I reported this problem to Pioneer a week ago, and called in to them again today for a status update in regards to my BDP-09FD, thinking that they were already aware of this problem as reported by me and hopefully others, and were working on a firmware update to fix it. That was not the case. The rep I spoke to today said that they had no record of a reported issue in this regard, from me or anyone else. So, if anyone else is having this problem with a Pioneer player, PLEASE report it to Pioneer (1-800-421-1404) as soon as possible. Unless they are bugged about this, they're not going to do anything, meaning that Apocalypse Now will never work properly on some Pioneer players. |
