Lighthouses of the Pacific Northwest (9/28/2010)

Has anyone seen this disc? Stacey Spears, of the famed S&M High Definition Benchmark BD, took a trip up the coast last year and shot a number of locations on his RED One camera.

The footage looks pretty damn flawless. There is music that goes along with the video. It's really relaxing to take it all in.

I've been to the one at Alki Point, it was okay. I wish I could go see some grander ones though.

The most challenging one to get to was New Dungeness. It is an 11.5 mile roundtrip hike across the beach. You can only go during low tide.

The second most difficult was Tillamook. It is 1.5 miles out at sea. The hike is 1.5 miles up a steep hill to get to the vantage point.

In both instances, I had to carry my gear. I did New Dungeness alone. I had help up to Tillamook.

The first lighthouse I shot was Cape Blanco. The winds were 35 mph that day.

i'm a big fan of lighthouses and the north pacific oddly enough, so this is something i'm interested in, but from the screenshots it looks like all of the footage takes place during bright, sunny day times. is this the case? or is there footage of the lighthouses / ocean during rain storms, early morning sunrises, late night sunsets and whatnot? i would love to see those types of visuals as well, but that may just be me

The majority is daylight footage. It is all exterior. My camera would not fit into the lightroom itself. Once I get the EPIC, I should be able to get inside.
