Default Hulk vs Incredible HULK

I know this might be a stupid question but which film and disc is better? TIA

The prevalent thinking is Incredible Hulk is the better movie, Hulk is just as good in my opinion though. Incredible Hulk is a reference disc in all aspects, Hulk is about a 4/5 for PQ and 5/5 for AQ.

Incredible Hulk is hands down better in every category from movie quality, picture quality, audio quality, bonus features, etc....

they both have awesome PQ and AQ so you're good there. each one also has their own unique take on the hulk. both are enjoyable IMO. the 1st sticks with a very "comic" feel to it. the second one with Norton feels a bit more "action junkie" style. Both are great and fun movies. but of course don't let any of us tell you which one you should enjoy or which one not to enjoy. Decide by watching both

Hulk ---> Better story and characters

Incredible Hulk ----> Better action, better Hulk design.

Both are worth watching imo.

In terms of PQ and AQ, The Incredible Hulk is the winner. I much much much prefer The Incredible Hulk as a film over Hulk in every way (save for the actresses who play Ms. Ross). Hulk has a lot of decent to good moments, but over-all it fails to be the movie most people want.

Soon there will be a third choice in the mix with an all new Bruce Banner.

Hulk for me. The PQ may not be quite as stunning (I haven't seen TIH on BD, and never will), as there are some specks throughout the picture, but detail in close-ups is unbelievable, and some scenes look like 3-D.

The AQ is one of the very best as well!

The story, direction (Ang Lee), the cast, and characters,..... of Hulk are much better IMO.

I also love the ILM Hulk, especially the dessert scenes.

If you want a unique experience, and a thinking man's comic book adaptation, then go for the Hulk, if you like a typical
'leave your brain at the door step' Hollywood action flick with nothing original and no depth whatsoever, then The Incredible Hulk is the one for you.
That's my personal opinion, of course.

I thought Hulk was perfect, and would have loved to see a sequel with that cast.

Live Tyler and General Ross were horrible in TIH.
Also the Hulk in TIH is just a mindless monster, whereas the HULK in Hulk is very likable and sympathetic.
The editing of Hulk is absolutely amazing, and the soundtrack by Danny Elfman is fantastic too.
If you know any movies by Ang Lee, you know what to expect.

TIH is much more accessible IMO, and more for the general audience.

Hulk is great for some people like me who enjoy different kind of movies.

I'd say rent them both, and make up your own mind.

Put it this way:
Hulk was one of the final camel-straw indignities that DROVE Marvel to make Incredible Hulk on their own...

(If it wasn't for Hulk 1 and Fantastic Four, we wouldn't have Marvel making their own Iron Man's...Watching Hulk 1, you get this overwhelming sense of "Never again. ")

Ang Lee's Hulk

AQ is excellent, but what I didn't expect was the PQ, it has so much depth, so real I don't feel like watching a video image. I thought I can touch Betty's face, just wonderful.

I blind bought that new one out of curiosity, and because people said the PQ/AQ were perfect (maybe true but almost all new action movies have great PQ/AQ). Now I'm trying to sell it but nobody wants it.

That's my opinion. You can rent both and see which one you prefer.
Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.

Hulk. How dare they make a comic book movie with, ya know, a plot.

Incredible Hulk is like a video game cut-scene gone wrong.

Plus Ang Lee's cast is 100% spot on.

I hated Hulk. Maybe it's because I never read the comics, but it just seemed ultra-cheesy to me. And it didn't help that the Hulk looked like an overgrown Green Giant.

The Incredible Hulk was much better IMO. Not perfect, but still pretty damn good.

Maybe the plot was better in "Hulk," but I couldn't get past the lame effects.

Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk is better. It's far more thought-provoking, intelligently written, and performed. The films style is also superb and it reaches its zenith during the Hulk/military confrontation where the split screen effects truly become fluid and take on a life of their own. The action and effects, I must say, are far superior to the 2008 film where in many shots Hulk looks like a badly rendered video game graphic, especially during the campus fight. I also much prefer the Jack Kirby style design of Hulk in the original film. He has a personality. How often do you see a superhero stop midway through an action sequence to ponder the life cycle of fungus and its relation to human beings? Never.

With all of that said, I do enjoy the 2008 film and Norton's performance. I most enjoy the early scenes of him attempting to control the rage and feel that were there more of this in the film, it could better compete with the 2003 film.

Both are reference Blu-Ray's in the A/V department.

I like William Hurt, but once you have Sam Elliot cast in a role, you do not cast that role with anyone other than Sam Elliot...ever.

Honestly, I don't mind Liv Tyler all that much. I think she's a pretty good actress.

But Jennifer Connelly can act circles around her.
