I've written a thorough review for IM2. Here is a portion of it regarding the PQ:

"Video: Technically IM2's video is near flawless. I didn't find a spec of dust, noise, or tears on this release. Colors were very vibrant especially in the scenes around Monaco. I even noticed the colors pop from the blue uniforms to the red chairs in the Senate hearing. My only gripe in with the video would be the first chapter and scene where we first meet Vanko. I found the entire scene inside to be a bit too soft and hazy. I know Paramount was going for the look as if Vanko is in a slum, dirty and grimy, but the colors and tones were off to me."

When I was not distracted by the Scarlett Johansson scenes everything looked sharp. The mini gun really gave my sub a workout.

Nope. The film had a very fine but consistent layer of grain to it.

No issues here. Had a very, very fine layer of grain. Nothing distracting or unusual.

Same as everyone else...aside from the OP, apparently. There was a fine, consistent layer of grain that never spiked. This was nice to see, in my opinion, as the first Iron Man appeared a lot "smoother" on BD than it did in the theater, and I can't help suspecting at least mild DNR. Iron Man 2 may not have been as good as the first, but I think its BD transfer provides a more accurate, film-like viewing experience than that of its predecessor.

Maybe it was the Ex-Wife effect.

i defo noticed it, also saw some grain on his hands when he waves to crowd too at the beginning of the film, i thought i had the wrong disk in (dvd).
Cant believe no one else saw this!!!!
spec the guy who said wipe your tv, did he think the dust jumped onto your screen just for that scene and then jumped back off, prat.
there was loads of grain in the scene that your on about i thought it might even be a rip off disk i was looking at before i saw that you have the same prob. you have a keen eye my friend!
Whats the point in buying a blu ray when you cant even see that much grain on your tv???

I haven't seen Iron Man 2 but that's just the nature of shooting movies, some shots are going to be grainier than others depending on how the scene is lit and shot.
(wait, this thread is a year old?)
