Yeah, I'm surprised no on mentioned it until you did. I wouldn't say it's favorite Christmas, but it's right up there with White Christmas, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Miracle on 34th Street, & It's A Wonderful Life.

Sorry OP, I don't have 10, the bunch above is enough to get me into the holiday cheer.

personally, if it's a favorite of yours, there's no harm in upgrading. sure it might not look the greatest, but if my favorite movies come out on blu, i buy them on blu. no question about it. and for $12, it's not doing much harm

It's nothing dazzling, but a definite upgrade from the DVD. $12 would be fair enough, but the "Ultimate Collector's Edition" Warner tried to palm off last year was a real rip off - same disc, with "instant snow powder", Holiday drink coasters with favorite movie quotes, "I Survived a Griswold Family Christmas" button & Miniature mug replica, with a MSRP of 50 bucks.

it's the same transfer that was first released on an HD DVD single layer 15GB disc, and then ported over to a BD25.

i don't know what you're referencing again who is Val Lewton?
the closest thing i've come to seeing what i think was A Christmas Carol was a live play of it (the one with the ghosts of christmas past) and it was so boring and dull i left about halfway through. will never watch anything resembling like that again.

I thoroughly enjoy Dan in Real Life, but how is it a Christmas movie?

It's not, nor is About A Boy, but it sort of fits into the romantic comedy category and I get a family gathering/Christmas feel from the movie. Mean Girls and Harry Potter aren't Christmas movies either, but they both have Christmas scenes in them.

1. Christmas Vacation.

Thats all you really need lol but here's the rest as I see it.

2. Elf
3. The Grinch (Jim Carey)
4. Home Alone
5. Home Alone 2
6. Jingle All the Way
7. Bad Santa
8. Fred Claus
9. Die Hard ( Not a real Christmas Movie)
10. Gremlins (Not a real Christmas Movie)

I wish Scrooged was on Blu-ray cause that would be tied with Christmas Vacation for first place.
