why only japan? do they ever release japan titles in the US? i dont understand how the blu ray releases work, why do only certain countries get certain releases but not the US. judge dredd gets a bluray but only in germany, WTF?? can someone explain this madness???

Warner is releasing it in Japan, so it should be released in North America too. They may just be waiting for a good release date to maximize sales.

In some cases, a movie is owned by a different distributor in another country. That's why The Crow is out in Japan but it hasn't been released in the U.S. (yet).

With Demolition Man and Cobra, that isn't the case, so it's just a matter of when.
